Keeping your child's vaccinations on track

Family health · 5 May 2026 · 4 min read

Vaccination is one of the simplest, most powerful ways to keep your child healthy. It protects them from diseases that can be serious or even deadly, and helps protect the whole community too.

Why the timing matters

Vaccines are given at set ages because that is when they work best and when your child most needs the protection. Following the schedule means your child is covered as early as possible.

What vaccines protect against

The childhood vaccines guard against illnesses such as measles, whooping cough, tetanus, polio, tuberculosis, and more, diseases that can cause lasting harm in young children.

If you have missed a dose

Do not worry, and do not skip it. In most cases we can simply catch up. Bring your child's health record book and we will check what is due and get them back on track.

Bring the record book

Keep your child's vaccination card safe and bring it to every visit. Childhood immunisations are provided free, come and let us keep your child protected.
